COLD METHOD SRING / SUMMER 2011 COLLECTION

The inspiration of the COLD METHOD Spring/Summer 2011 Collection goes back to the song; “THIS CHARMING MAN” a song by the 80’s alternative rock band “THE SMITHS”. At that time The Smiths had limited commercial success outside the UK but The Smiths revive in the contemporary and young music scene throughout Europe. It was the ‘Back to basic’ pure music and the iconic image of ‘Morrisey’ that influenced the start of the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

2. Ag-ed denim. Anyone who reads this blog already knows how much I love a vintage pair of denim.

3. Khakis … who said denim lines could only make denim? I am happy to see denim brands step outside the box and bring in some khakis for the fall season.

4 Stroke’s S/S 2010 offering stays true to the New York based denim collective’s mission – inspired designer denim. The two-time SIFA-nominated label gives innovative homage to nature by focusing on natural worn washes on organic, pima cotton, and Japanese denim. The line hones in on lighter washes along with subtle authentic whiskering and aged-destruction. Although Mother Nature’s ruggedness plays a big role in the design, 4 Stroke maintains its modern, New York feel.

The Line is backed by Aalfs Manufacturing. Aalfs is a vertically operating denim manufacturer which uses technologically advanced laundry facilities in Mexico.
