In almost every spring/summer 2012 preview everyone had white denim for men. Yes guys white is in and it’s okay to wear it because you will have a ton of options from different brands. The trick is to find the one that fits you the best and makes you feel the most comfortable.

So why did I pull white denim from Current Elliott?  Well I know the guy who works there, Barrett (the guy modeling the denim for us), and he is pretty much your typical simple, easy going, uber masculine, football & beer, type of guy. I wanted to show everyone that even the most masculine men can pull off white denim and still stay true to your own style.

I must admit that BIG STAR USA really impressed me with their take on the denim short! It’s all about the color and well BIG STAR went NEON on us and I F**King LOVE IT!  A+ to BIG STAR for hitting this trend right on the nail!

We talked about the denim shorts trend for men this week. Now it’s time for women! Remember for men it’s all about length and for women it’s about color.

Dylan George is showing us a white denim short with a touch of black and metalic paint to really make this white short stand apart.

Spring has a ton of great things in store for us and I was happy to see that every denim line was doing something a little different! FINALLY they  did not copy each other! Shorts are IN for Spring/Summer 2012 and everyone is doing their own interpretation of shorts. 7 For All Mankind is giving women a bit of “Lustre” next season, inspired by the shimmer and glimmer of light reflecting the Salton Sea, and the interplay of sun and water.

When I first got wind that Current Elliott was going to launch mens last winter, I was uber excited to see what the brand would have in store for us. Hitting stores this fall the Current Elliott mens  line will not only carry denim but corduroy, denim alternatives, sweaters and shirts. So when I saw them at PROJECT LAS VEGAS this week you know I had to get them into the studio. We shot two looks ( Special Thank You to Barrett from Current Elliott for taking a moment away from sales appointments to get the looks shot!)

For the first look I wanted to keep it simple and easy to reflect the brand. Current Elliott is known for keeping things comfy and casual and this looks is just that. A nice denim alternative from the standard blue, Current Elliott is on trend with this  canvas inspired pant!

Okay, so first let me start by telling you that is was not that easy getting Buffalo by David Bitton into the studio. Why you might ask? Um finding a model last minute is never an easy task but we did and boy were we happy! This college student from Las Vegas really completed the look.

For Spring/Summer 2012 Buffalo is previewing us the Driven Straight Leg in faded wash, which is still in trend. We are seeing that the faded, distressed denim is coming in but with a clean twist to it. We dressed it up with a simple stripped blue woven. The big Spring/Summer item in this look is the Coated Military Jacket, which is totally in trend with military for Spring/Summer 2012. I know, I know, military again? Yes military is still in and that is something we are okay with.
