The brand is based out of Los Angeles, and it is clear that creator Jason Trotzuk definitely has a passion for fashion! He also knows how to make a pair of denim that is figure flattering, which is another reason why I love this brand. If you haven’t tried Fidelity Denim yet I would definitely put it on your fashion to-do list! What more could I guy ask for when the actual denim manufacturer recommends you to wash your jeans as little as possible!!! The more I learn from the Denim Guy about aged denim, the more I fall head over heels for it. Cults are individually hand crafted to preserve a vintage appearance that is my OWN! That’s the true genius of these jeans. No one, and I mean NO ONE, can replicate the wash that I will have over time. That’s crazzzzy!  The way I look at it, any imperfections that I accumulate through my everyday wear and tear are all just particular characteristics of my jeans.  Not to mention my wife wants to tear them off me (her words not mine) whenever I sport them. This is partly do to the rocker style they evoke. I feel like a rock star every time I wear them. I wanna kick down doors and have the time of my life whenever I slip them on.

 Joslyn Reviewing Maison Scotch Mid-Rise Cropped Ankle with Cuff  size 27

Talk about an all-new style! I’ve never worn anything like this Maison Scotch denim. I’ve also been introduced to this brand before this review, and that’s likely because of its fabulous international status. There are a few things that really stick out to me about this cut and brand. First off, can I please thank someone for putting me in denim that is not skintight? Don’t get me wrong, I adore a great pair of tight, sassy skinny jeans, but occasionally it’s really nice to straight-up chill out in a less form-fitting clothes. Lucky for me, this denim is comfortable, without being frumpy (total bonus). Another think I really dig about this denim is the quality level. This denim is equally as beautiful from the outside as it is from the inside. Honestly, my mom (a seasoned seamstress) would be thoroughly impressed. As far as styling goes, I paired this denim with one of my favorite striped sweaters and my go-to shoe this winter, my black booties. This is a great look for work or a more casual night out, and side-note, as I’ve already mentioned a multitude of times, so comfortable!

Jennifer Reviews Big Star Remy ,Low-Rise Boot Size 29

I still can’t believe The Denim Guy got me into a pair of cords, but these Big Star cords are so comfortable, and they hold their shape really well. They fit well too, but they run a little on the big side (not by much though). The olive green color is very flattering, and a great color for your Fall wardrobe.

This is officially my second pair of cords, thanks to The Denim Guy, and I can now say that I am a true fan. They give a new look and texture to any outfit, they are easy to wear, and they never seem to go out of style.  They can prove a little difficult to dress, especially for the ladies, but I found it helpful to keep it simple.  Preppy looks seem to work well with cords of any color.

Wesley reviewing DL1961, Vince Straight Size 34 

DL1961 has been a brand that women have loved for so long and finally I have my opportunity with the men’s line and they did not disappoint. The slim, stretchy fit of the denim is great when you are looking for that classy pair of denim that has the flexibility to get down on the dance floor during a night with friends. I am the biggest fan of denim that has some stretch, but I am also the biggest skeptic of this type of denim because they tend to get that “stretched out” look after wearing them a few times and they begin to sag in places no one wants to sag. This pair of DL1961 does not have this horrible characteristic, they have amazing flexibility while also staying tight in the most important locations.

I am always looking for that pair of denim that I can throw on a long sleeve denim button down and walk right out the door for the night and this is the perfect pair. With a slim fit light denim shirt I can finish off my DL’s with just enough flare without over dressing and hiding the high quality denim. Once I lace up my new pair of J shoes no one can step into my way, because if they do, they will see the J on the bottom of my shoes and the DL logo on my butt as I walk past them. Thanks DL1961 for doing as good of a job with your men’s line as you do with your women’s!

Peter Reviewing Lucky Brand Jeans, Legend Straight size 31 

I had never worn a pair of Lucky jeans, but after putting these on—I understood why so many people loved them. The fit, the wash, the cut are perfect. The wash is classy enough that it certainly allows me a very elegant look and style. When I wear this particular denim I want to dress to impress. However, there are so many different ways I can dress these pants. Essentially, with a clean white-oxford shirt, tie or no tie, sleeves rolled up or not, blazer or no blazer—the possibilities seem endless. I really love the way these pants bring the entire outfit together—they not only make the denim standout, but everything that I have on as well. I prefer this pair of pants with more of a sophisticated pair of shoes, but that’s not to say given the right top it can sit well on top of most of the shoes in my closet. This denim stands apart from a lot of others simply because it does what most of them attempt to do—and that is it gives me the casualness jeans have, but it has an elegance, and creative distinction that is extremely hard to find. I will be looking forward to wearing these around the office and also on my next night out on the town.

Dez Reviewing Fidelity Belvedere High Rise Ultra Slim size 25

I heard the Denim Guy mention that high-rise is all the rage in denim now and I feel pretty lucky to get to review a few pairs. You can never go wrong with black denim! I love it because when I have to dress up a little for work it’s the easiest color for me to dress up. This ultra slim pair is the best because of the high-rise waist, which totally sucks in your lower abdominal area and hides any kind of muffin type you might have. The high rise also elongates the legs. The black slims them and add a pair of heels to the mix and you have yourself a nice lower body to show off this pair of denim! I thought about pairing this denim with a sweater but at the same time I don’t really want to cover the high waist with anything so I would probably go for a cardigan that highlights the waist area but doesn’t cover it. For my denim guy pictures I tried to keep things basic by wearing a colored shirt tucked in to the pants with some black heels. I am really loving the high waist and at first was very nervous when I heard the term “high waist.” I know the news really gave some celebrities slack for the high waist and referred to them as “mom jeans.” I feel that maybe people weren’t seeing the good in the high waist!  What this pair of denim does to your lower body is amazing! I have worn these with flats, heels and boots and to be honest no one pays attention to the shoes I wear, they only notice what the high waist does to my body especially my legs. I love that I can pretty much wear any color shirt with these and my body continues to give off the elongated look. These are my “go-to” pair of denim for the days when I feel that nothing else looks good on me or when I’m running late and don’t want to give off that vibe to my co-workers.

Frank  Reviewing 7 For All Mankind Standard  size 32

These aren’t my first pair of 7 For All Mankind and these certainly wont be my last either!  What makes 7 For All Mankind stand out from the rest is how it’s tailored at the waist and it has that true straight leg.  Not only do these jeans look comfortable and stylish, but also the denim is soft and the wash looks amazing.  The denim felt extremely soft but is made of high quality, which is a rare combination to find in jeans.   The softness of the fabric allows for free movement and comfort. The wash gives the denim that vintage look mixed with a bit of a contemporary style.

I paired these jeans with an original penguin white oxford shirt.  The straight cut was an ideal fit for this outfit.  Plus the appearance is not overly loose or baggy which gives it the perfect touch of fit and comfort.  I could see these jeans being one of those jeans that always wind up being at the front of my closet ready to be worn for any occasion.

I love this pair of denim because they have a higher waist and flare but are in a lighter wash making them perfect for day time. I paired these with a crisp white button up shirt, as I did for the Reader Review photo shoot, making for a fun, classic, Americana feel. However, these jeans are versatile that you can pair them with virtually anything, from a t-shirt to a blazer. They are also incredibly comfortable, sexy, and I love that the stitching on the back pocket is minimal. I’ll undoubtedly be wearing these often. I would like to mention that since I’m  5’4” I did have these hemmed using the original hem(ask your tailor if they do this it’s so fab) and they look great!

Dana Reviewing Cult of Individuality, Karma Straight, Green Tea Color, Size 27

When I think of denim, I definitely don’t think green… but this amazingly cool pair of jeans completely changes my beliefs! The overall slightly and stylishly distressed finish along with the built-in wear and tear makes me feel like the product by Cult of Individuality makes me feel like the denim is recycled and I’m a do-gooder by wearing them. Oh, and this Karma straight leg cut is literally in a green tea color. How unique is that?? It’s cool that this denim actually seems one-of-a-kind even on the first wear, thanks to whiskering and established holes in all of the right places. Never will you need to be too nervous to cut and snip your own tears with these jeans. I really became more aware of whiskering in denim because of The Denim Guy… in fact, it was my fave denim expert who made me think about how these added personal details are oh so cool and special. In fact, from what I understand he’s wearing the same pair of denim every single day for an entire year simply to create his own TDG styled jeans. Pretty cool and quite inspiring!

Bringing it back to this latest pair on the review, I was inspired to take a more casual and almost unisex style and wear a very fitting trench-styled vest. It’s a bit more feminine due to its sleeveless cut, belt to cinch the waist and the obvious high heels. It’s always a fun concept to mix and match the feminine and the masculine in fashion, but I’ve learned through all seasons of the reader review to definitely opt for heels; most denim looks that much better with the extra length – unless it’s a short or regular length cut, of course. I’ll miss reviewing denim from season to season because we still seem to take away something helpful each round, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to share with others all of style tips I’ve learned through the process. It feels good to basically be a denim expert now!

Luis Reviewing  AG Adriano Goldschmied-50’s Slim Medium Wash Size: 34

I love the selvage denim but I sometimes don’t have the patience to break them in. I want a pair that already looks and feels broken in.  The 50?s Slim AG-ed line is the answer to my call.

The pair I am wearing has accelerated distressing along the front and back pockets.  Kind of like a kick-start to the character I will be adding to these jeans.  These selvage jeans have a great vintage look to them.  The medium wash is slight, but will fade gradually as I give the jeans more wear.  Because of the classic look they convey, you can pull off some retro style with a vintage tee worn under an open denim shirt or long-sleeved flannel.

I definitely love they way they feel! They sit low on the waist and have a slight slouch giving me some breathing room up in front. Through the leg they slim up a bit and slightly taper through the leg. They never feel tight!

Now I know why the Denim Guy raves so much about AG!   Aside from the great fit and style on them I love that fact that no pair is exactly the same, so if I were to get multiple pairs of these jeans, they would all look different!
