For Spring 2011, Chip Foster (from the design duo Chip and Pepper)  is taking his latest line Pray for Mother Nature to the next level for Spring by creating a ready to wear line completely out of denim!!!

The collection includes innovative denim pants as well as novelty pieces like denim cardigans, ruffled hemmed maxi skirts and blazers. Additionally, Pray for Mother Nature is a corporate sponsor of Heal the Bay and is dedicated to helping keep our waters clean (including cleaning up the oil spill). The lines constant inspiration is drawn from nature and their goal is to continually give back. All of Pray for Mother Natures styles and washes are named after landmarks, beaches and tress of California: Big Sur (flare pant) in El Matador (a medium washed denim).

SOLD Design Lab is a newly launch Denim Brand from the founders of L.E.I. They are truly innovators in the market and the jeans they have developed are truly a great product for consumers.  They recently had a fitting and used small & mediums on several different body types.  I was blown away that both sizes fit amazingly well even with the women being completely different body shapes.

The denim is a pull on jean – not a jegging with no zipper, but it does have a button. The proprietary fabric technology is unique in that it has been developed to provide for over 30% stretch without the customary bagging that people tend to associate with highly elastic fabrics.  The fabric, because of its resiliency, literally grips the body, helping to smooth out the curves and contours of a woman’s body.

Rockford Mills is a new jeanslabel which will be launched this fall. Founder and designer is Kees Scholten. A year ago, Scholten left Hilfiger Denim. Working as Creative Director for the iconic American brand, the Amsterdam native steered the company to some of its most memorable collections— like Tommy’s collaboration with Marky Ramone – and re-created the denim relevance of the brand. Scholten previously also worked at Levi’s and G-Star amongst others.

Rockford Mills was created from a true love for vintage Americana denim with a strong eye for quality and detail. The jeans are made from timeless old school material, with beautiful washes and a proper contemporary fit. The passion for detail is reflected in the use of traditional copper rivets and shanks, heavy twill pocket bags and authentic stitching. All for the love of the product.
