Video: Handcrafted Raleigh Denim
Wed, Aug 4, 2010
This great video that showcases one of  my favorite new denim companies, North Carolina’s own, Raleigh Denim. The video really gives you a look at the entire story of the company and their true patronage to the roots and heritage of the garment industry in North Carolina. It’s one of those videos that makes you think twice about buying a pair of jeans that are made overseas.

Only one thing that I didn’t like about this video.. it’s this: “It’s one of those videos that makes you think twice about buying a pair of jeans that are made overseas”.
What do you mean for overseas? because there is lots of country overseas… Remeber that the history of Jeans is this one:
The word jeans comes from a kind of material that was made in Europe. The material, called jean, was named after sailors from Genoa in Italy, because they wore clothes made from it. The word ‘denim’ probably came from the name of a French material, serge de Nimes: serge (a kind of material) from Nimes (a town in France). The word “blue Jeans” came from Blue Genoa, Genoa is a city of Italy.
Just to make it clear that in overseas we do make nice stuff, atleast in Europe… now if you say China I agree with you… The copy alot, and they use bad materials… Anyway “overseas” is too generic.
