How does the denim fit in the waist, crotch, butt and thighs?

I am completely obsessed with Jean Leggings, primarily because of the fit factor. Buffalo did an amazing job with this particular pair. They are snug through the crotch, butt and thighs, without cutting off my circulation and allowing me a huge range of movement (yes, it’s crazy to think that this would ever even be an issue, but oftentimes it is). More- over, I love that the waist doesn’t gape in the back and the rise is a bit higher so there is absolutely NO muffin top – thank GOD!

Where would you wear this denim to?

I was really excited to wear the Buffalo denim out, and I chose to wear them almost immediately. I actually wore them to cover the red carpet premier of “Letters to Juliet.” For an event such as this one, it can be challenging to find an outfit that is both comfortable and fashionable. I think the dark wash on this denim gives it a bit of a dressier feel when need be, and I received several compliments from my fellow red carpet reporters!

How would you style this denim?

I styled this denim with a trendy shirt, espadrille wedges and a boyfriend blazer for a work event. However, I also think they’d be great with a simple T-shirt and some Converse, Vans or even sandals. This denim is very versatile and works well for all sorts of occasions, from the most relaxed of activities to the more dressy events.

Were you familiar with the brand before the fitting?

I remember seeing ads for Buffalo as a little girl, but until recently the brand had fallen off my denim radar. What really peaked my interest was the brand’s most recent campaign. Can you say hot to the highest degree?!? Overall, I think the sexy styling for the campaign is amazing! After all, I was sucked in, making me even more excited that the Denim Guy scored me a pair for review.

Describe your experience in letting the Denim Guy fit you? What surprised you in letting someone else fit you for jeans?

Despite the fact that I’ve been fitted quite a few times by the Denim Guy, I am still sometimes surprised by just how incredible his eye for fit and style is. He does all the dirty work. Instead of denim shopping being the worst retail experience ever, it has become something fun and positive. Why? Well, he already knows what will work and won’t work, based on my body type. So we get to fast forward past all the yucky stuff and get straight to the goods without having to waste hours, and sometimes days searching for that one perfect fit!

Who did your new jeans make you want to channel?

When I wear this denim I am definitely channeling Scarlett Johanasen. This fit has a great skinny leg, that gives it that retro feel, but with a modern twist. That description, in a nutshell, is how I see Scar-Jo. She’s got the curves, beauty, and class of an original Hollywood movie star but she’s also got a foot in the modern world, too. I think she would rock these jeans, but in the meantime, I’m happy to channel her myself!

How does your old denim compare to your new stuff? Any salvation army visits to get rid of the old denim? Stories!

Let’s just say that there is a hefty bag full of denim in the trunk of my car, getting ready to go to retail heaven (ie: the Salvation Army). Am I sad? Uh, not in the least. When you come across denim, like the Buffalo Jean Leggings, that look good and are actually comfortable, it really forces to reevaluate the contents of your entire closet. Yes, sometimes sacrifices must be made in the name of fashion, but I’ve come to realize that where denim is concerned, sacrifice is not needed!
