Denim Reviewing: Agave Gold in a Size – 34

How does the denim fit in the waist, crotch, butt and thighs?

At first when I tried on this pair of Agave denim I was unsure about it. The raw salvaged denim that was used made the denim feel very stiff and boxie. My other hesitation with Agave was the perception I had that Agave is an older man’s denim. I was wrong though and extremely impressed!  On the first night I wore the denim out to dinner, I could honestly feel the denim forming to me.  I could feel the legs taking shape, the crotch loosening up to where I could do anything I wanted in them, and the butt area hugged perfectly.  My suggestion to future Agave shoppers, don’t let your initial fitting turn you away! This denim is the best fitting and nicest looking denim I own now, and the older man stereotype couldn’t have been more wrong.

Who did your new jeans make you want to channel?

My Agave denim definitely gives me an Eric Bana feeling. The Agave denim makes me feel relaxed and comfortable but at the same time sexy!

Where would you wear this denim to or if you already have, where did you wear it, what did you wear it with and what was the response you got?

The Agave denim can create a very formal look compared to most other denim. At first, I wore the denim out to dinner with a nice shirt and shoes. As I continued to wear them more, I realized how perfect they fit. Since then, they have become somewhat of a hybrid pair of denim for me, meaning they are so comfortable I can wake up and throw them on right away, but can wear them to go out too.

How would you style this denim?

I am very outdoorsy and active, so I love my Agave denim with a t-shirt and sandals. Their perfect for hanging out and feeling comfortable.

On a scale of 1-10, what do you think your bootylicious factor is?

Because this pair of Agave denim forms to my butt, I have to give it a “10” for the bootylicious factor!

Were you familiar with the brand before the fitting?

My presumption of Agave denim was that it was a line made for the mature man. But after the fitting, I think I have more of an understanding for what Agave is trying to do. This pair of denim is now my perfect pair that I got to for all occassions.

Describe your experience in letting the Denim Guy fit you? What surprised you in letting someone else fit you for jeans?

I would have never given this pair of Agave denim a chance without the expertise of the Denim Guy. I am really big about an initial fitting, and I usually give a pair of denim about five seconds in a dressing room to impress me.  That would have been a disaster with this pair, as I was not initially impressed. Ultimately though, they have become my favorite go-to denim.

How does your old denim compare to your new stuff? Any salvation army visits to get rid of the old denim? Stories!

My Agave denim has basically cleaned out my closet!  All my old denim cannot compare to the cut, style and practicality of my Agave denim.
