Denim Reviewing Meltin Pot  High wasited Miamby in a size 27

And the award for the most fashion forward pair of denim I own goes to…Meltin’ Pot for these high wasited Miamby jeans….

Having said that…they have a very 1940′s vintage feel to them with a modern, sexy twist. I actually found a photo of a pair of vintage jeans that have the same feel but with a more relaxed fit. I was not familiar with Meltin’ Pot before doing the review but after having been exposed to so many premium denim lines by The Denim Guy, I can assure you this is not you average pair of jeans. First of all, the attention to detail is impressive. The contrast stitching is done in light yellow so it really pops, and the pockets all have a unique shape. I love that they are cropped so you can show of hot heels. Speaking of heels, in my opinion I’d like to see these worn with heels rather than flats. Maybe I’m just saying this because I’m a petite, curvy girl and wearing flats in general doesn’t do me any favors. So I’m thinking it might be cute with flats depending on your body type. Now, since these have a high waist I would definitely pair them with a short lose fitting top (I’ve been seeing these everywhere for some time now) or with a top that’s tucked in. In terms of sizing, for the most part all of the denim I have reviewed are size 27, so I’d recommend sizing down with this pair. They were a little too big for me in the tummy area. I think that in order for these to be flattering they need to be fitted in that area especially, otherwise you get a poochy tummy effect that isn’t exactly the most flattering. That being said, I will definitely get these taken in because they are so unique and make me feel sexy when I rock them with heels!
