Name of the denim Genetic,  The Shane Cigarette Jean (ultra skinny/stretchy) in a size 2

How does the denim fit in the waist, crotch, butt and thighs?
The Genetic Shane jean might be the most comfortable jean I’ve ever worn. It also fits me perfectly in all areas, waist, crotch, butt, and thighs. This is a jean I want to wear every day.

Where would you wear this denim to or if you already have, where did you wear it, what did you wear it with and what was the response you got? I wore it to work with cognac suede, mid-calf boots, a wool blend tunic (not oversized but long) and sometimes a striped, cropped cardigan (when I was cold). My error here was covering the jeans up too much. These are meant to be seen! I noticed I wasn’t getting a lot of comments (good or bad) so I started asking people at work what they thought and when I pulled the top up so they could see everything then I started getting a lot of compliments on these jeans.

How would you style this denim ? Knowing what I know now (see above) I would style these so that they show more next time, maybe with a pair of cute heels and a fitted or slightly cropped sweater (it’s still winter!). They will even look cute with converse and a leather jacket (my go-to look when I’m feeling lazy..lol)!

Describe your experience in letting the Denim Guy fit you? I’m always happy to have someone fit me who really knows denim. The Denim Guy is awesome! Were you familiar with the brand before the fitting? Yes I was familiar with Genetic, I had always wanted to try them but just hadn’t gotten around to it. What surprised you in letting someone else fit you for jeans? The Denim Guy thought these jeans would be a good fit for me so I was really excited to try them.

How did your significant other react to your new look-details!

At first my husband, like everyone else that day, didn’t say anything about my new look. As I said, I had covered them up too much without meaning to. So later in the day I made sure that he saw the jeans on me without the tunic top and boots! He loved them, said they looked really great on me. He said he didn’t realize Genetic jeans were so cute!

How does your old denim compare to your new stuff? Any salvation army visits to get rid of the old denim? Stories! As for my old denim, I don’t have anything else like this! These jeans are so great, I LOVE the vintage grey wash, I LOVE the lightweight fabric – I will want to wear these every day during the summer! – and I love the fit. I will definitely be giving a couple pair of inferior denim away to my little sister!
