For the readers who aren’t on the West Coast, let me tell you, only in Los Angeles could you wear shorts in the middle of December.  Make sure the shorts you’re wearing 7 For All Mankind’s Ranae Short, and it might as well be the middle of August with how hot this style makes you feel.

When I went in for a fitting with The Denim Guy, the thought that he would test out shorts on me never crossed my mind. After all, when I think of denim, the first thing that comes to mind are long pants. But with Johnny’s think-outside-the-box mentality when it comes to fashion, it didn’t surprise me when he handed over the Ranae Short with its signature unfinished hem.

The first thing Johnny said when I walked out of the dressing room was, “OK everyone, Joanne wins the 7′s!” I’m usually not one to show off my legs, but when I saw myself in the mirror, I suppose he was referring to the classic way these shorts fit me. Having owned a pair of 7 For All Mankinds before, I was happy to be reminded of the comfort in the groin and butt areas. And the fact that I could frolic in premium denim is definitely another advantage to boot.
